BFP Nightly Quote

“Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That’s our problem.” —Howard Zinn

Reliance upon Russia Times for news items: The Soviets have a large intelligence operation in place in the U.S. For some time now I have been concerned with the amount of news posted here from Russia Times. I know the axiom, that if it is not about Russia, we can expect truth. However, it will always be truth with a spin. The Russian Mafiya is nobody’s friend and they play rough even here in the U.S. Just check in with Wayne Madsen on this one. Then instead of asking where is Waldo, ask where is Semyon Mogilevich? Just want Sibel to remain Fair & Balanced.

Yeah, I try to rely on them more as a “supplementary” source along with other State affiliated news organizations like PressTV or Al-Jazeera. You never know what sort of spin will get thrown in there to bias their stories. The more you familiarize yourself with other sources, though, the more you hone your BS detector and tend to get an inkling when you’re being lied to.
