egd Says:
In reference to the article “Russia Walks Away from Azerbaijan Radar”, given the blatant predatory incursions by the US, NATO and their proxies into many countries of the Middle East, Caucasus, and South and Central Asia (e.g., Pakistan-including Baluchistan- Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan), I don’t see why Russia doesn’t quietly engineer a coup in Azerbaijan and clear out the Turks and Israelis, give Iran some breathing room to develop its country without the constant threat of terrorism, let Pakistan complete the ISI pipeline without continued pressure from the US, and bring a much better peace and stability to the region and improvement to the quality of life of its peoples. NATO and the US have offered nothing positive to the region other than drilling for oil and gas. In contrast, the Chinese are building needed infrastructure, and doing it without drones, terrorism or targeted assassinations.
If such a change could be implemented consistent with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (I don’t believe Azerbaijan is a member), and Iran were accepted as a full SCO member, it would facilitate the transfer of control over the Ceyhan pipeline at least up to the Georgian border from the hands of BP, and provide some leverage to force the US, NATO, and their Turkish and Israeli proxies to stop making trouble in that neighborhood. This could become a greatly strengthened regional bloc with real leverage that could focus on regional development without outside interference.
