Jerry Lee Lewis- “Hit the Road Jack”
This week’s Soothing the Beast BFP/Jamiol music pick is for a special young lady who happens to love this song. Hit the Road Jack was written by American songwriter Percy Mayfield and became famous after it was recorded by Ray Charles. While the song has been covered by many different artists, it’s hard to beat the original Ray Charles version. That said, I came across this version by Jerry Lee Lewis which is incredibly cool and really shows off Lewis on the piano plus his back-up singers really belt it out. So crank it up and sing along with Ela this great song. Ela, this one’s for you and hope you like….DJPJ
