Bluetech- “667”

STB_S

When Sibel asked me to do Soothing the Beast, I thought it might be fun to and by week 40, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is and I’m glad she asked me. I really enjoy doing it.

I’ve tried to mix it up the best I can and this week is no different. The Soothing the Beast BFP/Jamiol music pick is 667 by Bluetech from his Rainforest Reverberation album.

Bluetech is a psybient DJ/producer who creates exclusively downtempo music. He also produces under the name Evan Bartholomew and Evan Marc. Bluetech’s music is very diverse, even for a Psybient artist. He places significant emphasis on melody in his productions. Bluetech’s music is created mostly using digital synthesizers and production software, giving it a very “Digital” quality.

Psybient is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of psychedelic trance, ambient, world music, new age and even ethereal wave. Psybient pieces are often structured around the concept of creating a “sonic voyage” or “musical journey”
