The TPP: Obama’s Transnational Corporate Tyranny
The Trans-Pacific Partnership – or TPP – is a so-called “trade” agreement which has been negotiated by the Obama administration in secret for three years, involving 11 countries along the Pacific rim, and while Congress has been refused access to the draft agreement and forbidden from even observing the negotiations, over 600 corporations have been given exclusive access to both the negotiations and the draft agreement. The TPP, of which elements have been leaked, has 29 provisions, only 2 of which deal with trade itself, and the remaining provisions deal with labor, environmental, financial, health and safety standards, intellectual property rights, and constitute a major threat to Internet freedom. The TPP also established an international tribunal of corporate lawyers who will have the ability to overturn national laws and regulations which negatively affect corporate profits and plundering. Welcome to the TPP, Obama’s new corporate tyranny.

Ishmael Says:
Just wanted to let you know I listened to the show. I found it an excellent overview of what I had previously read about the TPP and it’s implications for the institution of Corporate Governance, or what Benito Mussolini Defined as Fascism. This is a perfect illustration of what John Trudell calls the Predatory Industrial Ruling Class. Thanks for adding to our knowledge on this important subject. I’m finally out in Manhattan Beach and will be contributing some articles myself soon. I’m glad I could point you in this direction. Here’s Trudell’s prediction on the 2008 electoral results from oct. 2008. Pretty prescient if you ask me.
