Bob Dylan – “All Along The Watch Tower”

STB_S

For the last Soothing the Beast BFP/Jamiol music pick for 2012, we have Bob Dylan performing his All Along the Watchtower. The song first appeared on his 1967 album John Wesley Harding. Covered by many, the only other version of the song that’s close to Dylan’s version was by Jimi Hendrix. So kick back and enjoy this great song by singer-songwriter extraordinaire Bob Dylan,,,DJPJ

When I was first lost, the watchmen on the towers guided me to my beloved. The second time they smote me when I sought him who I lost. Song of Songs

This version is the original and better than Hendrix version.

AVIONBLANC, While many liked Hendrix version and he got a hit out of it, Dylan still rules with his original.

Doesn’t really compete with either the Dylan or the Hendrix version, but I do really also like what XTC did with it back in about 1978 or so. Anyway nice choice, thanks…
