Neil Young – “Let’s Impeach The President”

STB_S

Neil Young’s Let’s Impeach The President from his 2006 album Living with War is this week’s Soothing the Beast BFP/Jamiol music pic. Young’s Living with War album was defined it as “a musical critique of U.S. President George W. Bush and his conduct of the war in Iraq. In a Rolling Stone magazine interview, Young said of Let’s Impeach The President that this is “A political song about something that’s so wrong that the only way to point out how wrong it is is by doing a song that’s wrong – smashing and pounding away at it. A lot of people criticized it as a crappy song, that it was such a terrible melody. You want a melody that pisses people off, that’s so stupid and repetitive that it aggravates people.” While not “soothing” by any means, Let’s Impeach The President by Neil Young is worth the listen…enjoy…DJPJ

No comments yet? At DAY of RESISTANCE .223 in Poway, CA there was an Impeach the President table!
Resisting in San Diego, molon labe.

  2. Thank you much for that — soothes the beast within just fine. Reminds me of the Beatles’ White Album, and John Lennon’s solo efforts, before he was assassinated. MKUltra to blame for that one, too? Hmmm. Before most of us had awakened, for sure.
