Empire, Power, and People with Andrew Gavin Marshall- Episode 72

Protesting the Cosmopolitical Corporate Order

EPPFrom the global march against Monsanto to factory workers in Bangladesh, protests against global corporations and the policies put in place by states to protect them are advancing around the world. This episode briefly identifies some of the protests and acts of resistance against the global corporate order, and looks at why this resistance must accelerate: it’s only the future of the species which hangs in the balance, so better to try than to say goodbye.

  1. Here is an elegant solution, counter-intuitive, for carbon sequestration. Also, see Polyface Farm and Joel Salatin. My apologies to any vegan on the planet.

  2. People causing this terror are not sane. They don’t think rationally and care about anything. I have researched this problem from different perspective slightly. Lets say from spiritual more than others.

There are real answers to these questions as well as solutions. Actually one solution, which has been presented in 133 different ways so far :-)

Still, thanks for very essential work of spreading the truth.

  3. Serendipitous podcast for me. The hemispheres of my brain have ceaseless conversations, pitting the undeniable signposts on the road to collapse against the potent counterpoint of the here-and-now, wherein the food is still at the supermarket, people still commute to work and my wife muses about remodeling the kitchen.

    Dear Andrew,
I really appreciate your work and am an avid follower of your articles and podcasts and am looking forward to the publication of your book.
A slight correction on your last podcast: As you rightfully mentioned, Monsanto produced the terrible herbicide compound Agent Orange which was used to destroy the food production of the local Vietnamese people with “unintended” long term complications. Although sometimes mixed with jet fuel to help Agent Orange to stick to the leaves and increase its effectiveness it was not used as a burning agent, I believe the children running from the village was the result of napalm bombing.
Keep up the great work you are helping to expose the lie and proclaim the Truth.
    Chuck
