Ryan Dawson Presents Nicholas J.S. Davies
Nicolas J. S. Davies author of “Blood on our Hands: The American Invasion and Destruction of Iraq,” joins us today to explain how the West intentionally sabotaged the diplomatic peace process for Syria while simultaneously giving covert support to the Syrian opposition forces as the peace talks were taking place. Make no mistake about it, peace was never the aim. The failure of a diplomatic solution from international bodies was simply a necessary step to take to give the public the appearance of a failed nonviolent solution. What has been the press’s role? Where does Obama stand? Tune in.

Ryan Dawson Presents Dr. Joseph Gerson
Dr. Joseph Gerson joins us today to explain the ‘soft power politics’ that piggy back on the militarist saber rattling. How does the Nuclear proliferation in North Korea drive a wedge in US hegemony and spoil the economic encircling of China with pro-US allies who are leveraged into economic trade agreements by the US’s protection gambit? Tune in hear the details.

“Washington is Not America. Washington is Satan’s Home Town.”
On March 5, 2013, Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela and world leader against imperialism, died. Washington imperialists and their media and think tank whores expressed gleeful sighs of relief as did the brainwashed US population. An “enemy of America” was gone.
Chavez was not an enemy of America. He was an enemy of Washington’s hegemony over other countries, an enemy of Washington’s alliance with elite ruling cliques who steal from the people they grind down and deny sustenance. He was an enemy of Washington’s injustice, of Washington’s foreign policy based on lies and military aggression, bombs and invasions.
Washington is not America. Washington is Satan’s home town.
Chavez was a friend of truth and justice, and this made him unpopular throughout the Western World where every political leader regards truth and justice as dire threats. Read more
Imperial Wars by Proxy and Domestic Decay
The configuration of 21st century imperialism combines patterns of exploitation from the past as well as new features which are essential to understanding the contemporary forms of plunder, pillage and mass impoverishment. In this paper we will highlight the relatively new forms of imperial exploitation, reflecting the rise and consolidation of an international ruling class, the centrality of military power, large scale long-term criminality as a key component of the process of capital accumulation, the centrality of domestic collaborator classes and political elites in sustaining the US – EU empire and the new forms of class and anti-imperialist struggles.
Imperialism is about political domination, economic exploitation, cultural penetration via military conquest, economic coercion, political destabilization, separatist movements and via domestic collaborators. Imperial aims, today as in the past, are about securing markets, seizing raw materials, exploiting cheap labor in order to enhance profits, accumulate capital and enlarge the scope and depth of political domination. Today the mechanisms by which global profits are enhanced have gone far beyond the exploitation of markets, resources and labor; they embrace entire nations, peoples and the public treasuries, not only of regions of Africa, Asia and Latin America but include the so-called ‘debtor countries of Europe’, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Iceland, among others. “The pursuit of hegemony moves Washington closer to becoming a world dictator.”
Those concerned about “The New World Order” speak as if the United States is coming under the control of an outside conspiratorial force. In fact, it is the US that is the New World Order. That is what the American unipolar world, about which China, Russia, and Iran complain, is all about.
Washington has demonstrated that it has no respect for its own laws and Constitution, much less any respect for international law and the law and sovereignty of other countries. All that counts is Washington’s will as the pursuit of hegemony moves Washington closer to becoming a world dictator. Read more
Ryan Dawson Presents Mahdi Nazemroaya
Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya is an analysts and award-winning author of the book The Globalization of NATO. He was on the ground in Libya reporting live for multiple media outlets as NATO conducted its merciless bombing of that country’s civilians and infrastructure. Today we discuss the real motivations for the Balkanization of Syria and why there is a US and Israeli target painted on Iran. I highly recommend checking out this piece by Mr. Nazemroaya: The Endgame in Syria: Strategic Stage in the Pentagon’s Covert War on Iran for further analysis.

“Americans were told a packet of lies designed to win their gullible acceptance to an economy that produces high returns for Wall Street, shareholders, and corporate executives at the expense of everyone else in the country.”
In November the largest chunk of new jobs came from retail and wholesale trade. Businesses gearing up for Christmas sales added 65,700 jobs or 45% of November’s 146,000 jobs gain. With December sales a disappointment, these jobs are likely to reverse when the January payroll jobs report comes out in February. Family Dollar Stores CEO Howard Levine told analysts that his company’s customers were unable to afford toys this holiday season and focused instead on basic needs such as food. Levine said that his customers “clearly don’t have as much for discretionary purchases as they once did.”
For December’s new jobs we return to the old standbys: health care and social assistance and waitresses and bartenders. These four classifications accounted for 93,000 of December’s new jobs, 60% of the 155,000 jobs. Read more
Phony 2012
What are the broader motivations and implications behind the Kony 2012 video? Taking a look at the geopolitics of the region, its recent history, and Western subsidies for dictatorships (“dictatorship by franchise”) as well as profiting off of genocide (such as in the Congo), the Kony 2012 video is designed as an emotional appeal for military intervention in Uganda to purportedly stop a conflict which had stopped several years ago. Taken with the context of major oil reserves having been discovered in Uganda, along with the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) program to militarize foreign policy for the continent, the video is a propaganda ploy designed to expand U.S. imperial hegemony in the region. This is no less evident from the fact that the most interviewed person in the video, John Prendergast, was a former State Department and National Security Council official during the Clinton administration, responsible for overseeing U.S. imperial policy in the region, and has since mobilized campaigns of celebrity personalities to promote foreign intervention. Coincidence or consistency?

The Road to Tehran
The Western imperial powers seem intent on regime change in Iran. It has been said that, “the road to Tehran is through Damascus,” and such sentiments have been expressed by the King of Saudi Arabia, a ruthless tyrant who represses his own and neighboring populations (such as in Bahrain), and who calls for Syria to show “restraint” against its ‘repression.’ The hypocrisy of the West and its regional allies knows no bounds. The Western puppets, as we know from Wikileaks releases, favor a U.S. military strike against Iran, yet the Arab world as a whole does not. In fact, the wider world – and the vast majority of the global population – supports Iran’s right to nuclear enrichment, but we are told that Iran “defies” the so-called “international community.” From official report, documents, and statements, we know that Iran has no nuclear weapon or any nuclear weapons program, but still, Iran is presented as a “threat.” What is the basis for this threat? What are the intentions and actions of the imperial powers against Iran? How do the sanctions affect Iran and its people? Are we, indeed… on the road to Tehran?

American Imperial Adventures in Asia
The American Empire had an early start in East and Southeast Asia, beginning with a U.S. Marine invasion of an Indonesian town in 1832, another Indonesian town in 1839, and a brief occupation of Danang (Vietnam) in 1846. From there, the United States sought to expand its commercial hegemony and establish trade relations in East and Southeast Asia. When a U.S. mission to Japan arrived in 1853, to establish a coaling station for American ships on their way to the lucrative market of China, this marked the “opening” of Japan, which had been isolated for over 200 years. From then on, the Japanese Empire and nation state formed, expanding with the colonization of Formosa (Taiwan) in 1895 and Korea in 1910. In the late 1890s, America established its first colony during the Philippine-American War (1899-1902), and thereafter, the American and Japanese empires expanded their commercial hegemony and military strength over the region, until an inevitable clash of empires took place in World War II, and thereafter established the United States as the reigning imperial hegemony of all East and Southeast Asia.
