Why the Military Industrial Complex Supports Oppressive Regimes

Video- Sibel Edmonds Interview: RT

I was scheduled for an interview on the latest developments on the Turkish-Syria topic, however, they had a last minute change and suddenly I was facing questions regarding the latest exposé on Bahrain-Washington Times. If you look carefully you’ll see my eye-balls turning rapidly (mine are too tightly connected to the wheels spinning inside my head) …Anyhow, I needed at least an extra five minutes to explain the real macro points on this topic (Yap, I’m one of those who cannot sum up things in short bullet points. Why do you think I always prefer interviews of a minimum of 30-minutes?), but life (TV interviews) doesn’t work that way. That, and feeling uncomfortable using my intended (and well-deserved) words: Whores-Pimps-Johns… Well, here is the RT clip:

Santorum Puts American ‘WMD Scientists’ on Code Red Alert?

Applying a “Fairness Doctrine” to Santorum’s ‘Dead Scientists are a Wonderful Thing’

This post is a major exception for Boiling Frogs Post. I almost never bother commenting or giving coverage to ‘easy-come, easy-go’ dime-a-dozen flake personalities in politics. As you know we have never even named that ‘one’ from Alaska, or the other one from ‘The Pizza Chain,’ … However, I just watched the video below, and couldn’t help myself. You must watch it, you must let that critical thinking kick in, and then afterwards, apply this particular half-psychopath, half-sociopath, and a quarter-flake’s rational across the board using a fairness doctrine to see and understand the real implications of what he is saying:

Based on what this US presidential candidate is saying all our past and present scientists who’ve been involved in developing many thousands of weapons of mass destruction for many decades should go on Code Red Alert, and maybe even go under the Federal Protection Program. Because all those family members, direct and indirect victims of our WMD in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Agent Orange, Kuwait, Iraq, Cambodia … may be on their way. Sanctioned and justified by Mr. Santorum and those who agree with him (in practice as well) in our government, they are now justified to come and take out hundreds, if not thousands of scientists in our universities, all Pentagon branches , RAND… who have been developing thousands of deadly WMDs for a government who has been using them for many decades.

BFP Sunday Music Video: The Future by Leonard Cohen

Just Because

Here is my favorite Leonard Cohen song (with the lyrics) for you. Why? Because I love Leonard Cohen. Because it is Sunday. Because the 9/11 tenth anniversary is coming. Because it was written before 9/11 and ended up being so prophetic. Because right now I so very feel like it…And how do ‘you’ like it?

Chris Floyd’s ‘The Good Corporal’

To the Exposers of Power & the Troublers of Dreams

Yesterday one of our readers e-mailed me a link to a recent work by Chris Floyd dedicated to truth tellers who are commonly labeled as whistleblowers, but aptly referred by him as the Exposers of Power and the Troublers of Dreams.

About three years ago I discovered Mr. Floyd’s website and his collection of essays and poems through Antiwar.Com. And I became a fan. His writings are original, expressed purely in his own unique voice, and more importantly (at least for me) they don’t reek of the partisanship or agenda promotion so commonly found in ‘popular’ quasi alternative sites. The level of integrity and critical thinking that goes into his work makes him ‘not’ an acceptable comrade for the popular partisan agenda pumpers of the media; their loss and our win. You can visit his website and check it out for yourself.

I want to thank Mr. Floyd on behalf of all our national security whistleblower members at NSWBC, including Dan Ellsberg. He has given us a deep and sincere acknowledgement; a far cry from the usual cursory fluff we are used to getting. And I want to share with you this beautifully executed work here at Boiling Frogs Post:

The Good Corporal

Good corporal, good corporal, now what have you done?
You’ve laid out the dead in the light of the sun.
You’ve opened the door where the dark deeds go on,
Where the fine words of freedom are broken like bones.

Good corporal, good corporal, you tell us of crime
Done in the name of your country and mine.
Of torture and murder, corruption and lies,
In a land where no echo will carry the cries.

Good corporal, good corporal, now who do we blame
For the horrors you bring us, for this undying shame?
Should we lay all the guilt on the grunts with no name,
Or the high and the mighty who rigged up this game?

Good corporal, good corporal, don’t you know the fate
Of all those who speak the hard truth to the State
And all who trouble the people’s sweet dreams?
They’re mocked into scorn and torn apart at the seams.

Good corporal, good corporal, what have you done?
You’ve laid out the dead in the light of the sun.

Rep. Ron Paul on the CIA Coup: Time to Take Out the CIA?

‘The CIA has taken over the US in a coup!’

Here is a clip from a recent speech by Congressman Ron Paul on the CIA:

There’s been a coup – have you heard? It’s the CIA coup. The CIA runs everything! They run the military .. and they’re every bit as secretive as the Federal Reserve. And yet, think of the harm they have done since they were established at the end of World War II. They are a government unto themselves. They’re in businesses, in drug businesses, they take out dictators… We need to take out the CIA!

I don’t remember ever hearing any politician, elected official, putting these points out so very boldly, unapologetically, and fearlessly.

Let’s face it: Has there ever been anything good, anything positive, associated with this dark agency? Some may say ‘Hey, we don’t get to know of the good they do, or have done, because it would be all secret!’ Really? I mean really? Despite all the secrecy we’ve gotten to know about hundreds of flops, abuses, shady businesses, atrocious murders and assassinations, human rights violations – torture, kidnappings, renditions…With that sort of no logic-logic, you’d think their intended secrecy would prevent us from knowing about these horrendous disasters and the criminal conduct they commit around the world in our name and with our money. And, that they’d leak all sorts of heroic and good deeds (if they ever existed) to gloat about and take credit for. No?

If you were to go around the world and take a survey on what is it that most people hate about the United States, you’d hear the word ‘CIA’ as the answer given by many. Or if the answer is ‘US Foreign Policy’ and that answer is probed further, you’d see that mainly it comes down to the CIA and their dark operations conducted around the world in the last 6 decades or so. I know a little bit about this, having lived in various countries. It’s never been ‘the Americans,’ or ‘the American way of life,’ or … So do we really see this agency and its dark conduct as the representation of who we Americans are, what we believe, and how we want to treat the rest of the world? Do you?

Okay, now it is your turn. Please tell us what you think?
